Description
Polymer flocculant for water treatment. Duo Flock PLUS, the broad spectrum flocculant and precipitant with a spread pH range of effectiveness from pH 7-10. A multi-component preparation for the greatest possible elimination of dirt, grease and oil particles from industrial water. Also removes oil-emulsifying surfactants and reduces the heavy metal concentration in service and waste water.
Composition:
Nextzett Duo Flock is a mixture of organic and inorganic salts that eliminate dirt, fat and oil particles, but also washing-active substances from the water with flake formation.
Mode of action:
Nextzett Duo Flock forms voluminous precipitates in the presence of colloidal particles (dirt particles) in certain pH ranges (7-10), which sediment in a very short time. The mode of action is based on the reduction of the zeta potential of dispersed particles through the addition of polymeric flocculants based on metal salts. The flocculant overcomes the electrostatic repulsion of the mostly negatively charged particles in the water and thus ensures agglomeration and sedimentation of the suspended particles.
This process achieves multiple reuse of the service water with the same washing quality. The advantage compared to commercially available preparations is that detergent substances are largely removed from the wash water and therefore there is no negative impact with solutions that contain a lot of surfactants.
Application:
Can be added to the washing water manually or automatically. Depending on how dirty the service water is, 15-20 ml of flocculant are added to the washing water per vehicle.
As a rule, N extzett Duo Flock is dosed into the chain shaft or into the outflow to the settling basin in order to ensure optimal mixing and thus optimal phase contact. This is accomplished by adding flocculant via a dosing pump, which is controlled via the shampoo or foam pump.
Due to its chemical composition, nextzett – Duo Flock is a weakly acidic preparation which, if overdosed in the washing water, can lead to a reduction in the pH value.
Prerequisites for optimal flocculation are:
- good mixing
- pH 7 – 10
Under these conditions, a coarse flake structure is achieved, which accelerates the sedimentation process.
